The Backyard Academy was initially founded as a passion project with the goal of providing children with a glimpse into wholesome past experiences while prioritizing their all-round development. The business does not hold an aversion towards modern amenities such as screens but rather aims to create a balance.

The company initially started by making after-school activities enjoyable for children, expanding to include not only games but also expert sports coaching and engaging lessons with teachers. Identifying a need for parents to participate in after-school activities, the academy added activities to engage them, ultimately creating a community of like-minded individuals.
